Doing about 70mph, DE30AC 416 BLASTS her way through Mineola, and this video does nothing for how loud it was in person. Enjoy the video. This train is bound for Montauk.

  • No they don't. During our rush hours, we have a train less then 2 mins apart from each other. NJT AMTRAK AND NS Don't run in such a tight area. Once again you have no idea what your talking about. And tell me how amtrak and NS came into play?

  • You don't know what your talking about. Were on time most of the time. YOU TRY SQUEEZING 740 TRAINS A DAY PLUS FREIGHT ON A DOUBLE TRACK MAINLINE AND SEE HOW HARD IT IS! More then 300,000 people take the LIRR a day. If you hate it so much GET A CAR AND SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH. Because you Don't know what your talking about.

  • @sportsmovieman it is stated by Railroad managment that the stretch of track between Queens inteterlocking to Mineola runs the most trains in the country i dont know the exact number but i think its 500+ per day. There is no state law about how much they have to be spaced out. however in the rule book for LIRR i believe there is a rule that states that trains have to clear the block in less than 5 mins i have to check.

  • nice K5LA!!! speaking of loud ass horns i was in ho-ho-kus in february and i got 4114 on 1273 to waldwick. and you know how 4114's horn sucks if you dont pull the handle all the way. well that engineer pulled the handle all the way and gave some ear piercing horn blasts for warren ave.

  • thats a awsome horn

  • And to think. Your mom filmed this.

  • Awesome horn!! Those are really cool engines!!:)

  • Your Confusing the NEC with NJT and LIRR MAINLINE

  • Sure they do. They just know how to space it out more because Amtrak runs what goes on into Penn Station for NJ Transit.

NS I believe operates some lines for NJT and Conrail does too.

"We have a train less than two minutes apart from each other during rush hours."

Isn't that NY State Law to have them spaced apart that much evenly during the peak rush? I know they do that after each baseball game.

  • NJ Transit does it all the time with much more success. Not to mention they have to deal with Amtrak's crap and NS crap as well as their own.
