Survey Nation goes to the streets of San Francisco during the April 9, 2008 disrupted Olympic Torch Relay to get the story you won't see on CNN, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, or any mainstream media. We talked directly to the people who were there about the important issues raised by the upcoming Summer Games in Beijing, shooting over two and a half hours of video.

In order to give you the best possible coverage, we will be presenting a series of shows from this event that focus on a variety of topics including the policies and practices of the Chinese government, human rights, the crises in Tibet and Darfur, a potential US boycott, the politicization of the Olympic games, and, most importantly, the American right to free speech. We will let the people speak for themselves on the important issues that matter most to them.

We understand that these issues are highly emotional and potentially divisive, but we encourage you to view each episode in the spirit of worldwide harmony, openness, and diversity that is at the heart of Olympic ideals.

In this episode, we speak directly to Free Tibet protesters at the Olympic Torch Relay in San Francisco. They express their concern and solidarity with those suffering in Tibet. They send a direct message to the Chinese government that human rights violations, the suppression of a free press, and the repressive treatment of Tibet must stop now. Tibet must be given the freedoms it deserves and the suffering must stop. How can Americans take effective action to influence the Chinese government? Will the American consumer its change behavior to decrease dependence on Chinese imports in order to send this message, or are we too dependent on inexpensive goods to change? Hear it directly from those who came out to protest.

  • too bad no1 of importance gives a shit about tibet, any where around of the world. All the hippies and jobless do though.

  • 22 Chinese People Watched This.............

  • Iike this cuz I'm in it at 18.check it. About 1'50"

  • @ACTORnSCREENWRITER The Chinese government never once criticized the American government for invading Iraq and Libya, racism, etc....yet the American media just loves to criticize the Chinese government for everything they do. I don't hate the US, i'm just making a point. And the "Chinese Commies" living in America are not traitors. They are just nationalists, who have pride in their country. It is like those Scottish and Irish pride parades.

  • those idiots don't know what they are doing

  • @3342WQE Yeah, just like France didn't cheat Ireland out of victory at FIFA right? Everyone's a sore loser when when the winner don't wanna get caught.

  • @vic225 Erm, actually there's a lot more Native Americans in North America now than there were 500 years ago. There REALLY weren't that many to begin with and the population boom they experienced in the last 150 years after being put on protected reserves was one hell of a Listerine and hairspray whiskey driven boom. They have rights now, alright. Pretty well off, in fact, receiving government subsidies, free rides through any college, and statistical popularity with women. They're well off.

  • @tenustar China's superb if you're middle-class or rich. However those people make up roughly 10% of China's population. Though to be fair, most of the people you see on youtube claiming to be Chinese are actually Anglo-Chinese whose family has been living somewhere in the Anglosphere since the 1800s. Youtube is banned in China. Never believe anyone who claims they're in China.

And human rights never existed in Tibet. The theocratic serfdom was worse than Chinese rule.

  • Now i think White people are retarded.
