@PlumGurly It's not about slavery, unless, and you can defend that one, Apartheid was slavery. He wrote this song after seeing on television how a white soldier was shooting black children in South Africa in 1985.He decided to write a song about it. The beauty is, that the lyrics apply for every kind of oppression, in politics, in relationships, at work, when you're bullied at school, He found the words against every kind of oppression.

I'm not gay and I'm not Black. But I have nothing but admiration for this guy, he stood up for what he believed in and that deserves respect.
