  • Great to see what you've done with Doc's song. Missed a few though as you say. Newcross, Turnham Green, Angel, Aldwych and Oval. I was there in the dubbing area of Lime Grove studio in around 1970 when Doc, Clive Derbyshire and assorted waifs first recorded this. I've just posted "My Great Grandad John" on the site from Doc's That's Life days. I actually have some original tapes of many of his silly songs and will get round to putting them on soon.

  • thanks.... as you can see I've posted many of Doc's Songs and it's nice to hear from someone that was there.... I was but a kid myself when they came out.

  • Thank you very much for illustrating the various place-names punned on in this song..I'm an American, so a lot of it went over my head..I did know two or three of the names (Golder's Green, Edgware), so I knew there were a lot of Joycean puns going on here, but I didn't know how to "decode" it.

  • it made making this vid easy by finding pics of the stations though I did miss a few "Newcross" for one
