Elgato EyeTV HD Quality Test Capture - XBOX 360 to Mac

PLEASE read entire description and my responses to FAQs below in the comments. I WILL NOT ANSWER THE SAME ISSUES TWICE.

Note: Make sure you have your console's display settings on your XBOX 360 set to 720p or you will only see a blue screen with "NO SIGNAL" written in it.

***If you want to record on your computer AND play on your TV at the same time, you must also use a Component A/V Distribution Amplifier with at least 2 outputs. Your XBOX cannot send a HDMI signal and a component signal at the same time***

- Elgato EyeTV HD capture (w/Eye TV 3.5.1)
- XBOX 360
- iMac 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4Gb RAM
- 720p component video (convert to DV file format for easier editing!)

@SlatsHD I didn't use splitters for this. I played it back directly from the XBOX after putting the video together in COD's Theater mode

can you record on the 360 directly onto the EyeTV, and then upload it to your mac when you are done recording? And would you need anything else besides whats in the box it comes with?

@TheWallyLopez the el gato capture doesnt record your voice, but it records any voice in the game, to record your voice you have to record it sepperately on your computer

I'm looking to buy Elgato EyeTV HD uam also to record my gameplays, however I learned that the board has a "delay" of some seconds, thus making it difficult to write and comment "aovivo"

Can you confirm this information? It would give me some guidance?

@TheDHcommunity theres an export setting in the eyetv program. pick your export format through there

@15nerdkilla it will lag about a second off. i wouldnt recommend playing it off your mac screen
