B12 deficiency is common amongst meat eaters. Contrary to popular belief, meat eaters are just as likely if not MORE likely to develop a b12 deficiency. Find out all about it and supplementation in my vid...

  • @MrHumbleness It is possible to get deficient B12 if you eat meat. Look up pernicious anemia, or intrinsic factor deficiency.

The point being nominal numbers of meat eaters who are B12 deficient probably > vegetarians who are deficient, but the RATES for vegetarians being B12 deficient are three orders of magnitude higher than meat eaters (over 1000 times higher).

She is engaging in a dishonest argument, which is what the cult-vegans do.

  • @MegaSmud She's lean , & she has narrow hips pal. Should she fire down a bunch of olive oil. Is that what you want pal. Huh . . . . . .

  • I agree with you on the supplement topic. While it's important to get nutrition from our diets, sometimes supplements are necessary, especially considering how we eat. There are plenty of supplements that are pure, it's just a matter of educating yourself and shopping in the right stores. The typical supermarket and drug stores are not good places to buy vitamins. Addditionally, fermented foods are a good option for vegans looking to up their B-12 levels. Kombucha is my choice. Yum.

  • I love fruits.... but, pigs are not my friends, I would eat them as well XD

  • ULURU pic! Love it. Way to go on the B12 supplementation advice! I'm a medical student who also happens to be vegan. Even if people do not want to get their B12 levels checked because they are worried about cost, being that its a water soluble vitamin, if they take a multivitamin or some other supplementation, they are at no risk of B12 toxicity. (Sorry, run on sentence). Especially women that are trying to get pregnant or are pregnant (prenatal vitamins are not a joke, regardless of your diet!)

  • @Kdnce God, look at this chick right here! Yeah, the one whose page you're on. She lost tons of weight, kept it off, and now lives healthier than ever because of a raw, vegan diet.

  • @Kdnce Talk to any vegan, check out some famous vegans like Alicia Silverstone or Ellen Degeneres, or even some vegan youtubers. Those that are educated and do it right, do it well, and are healthier than meat eaters. If you need to know WHY, then do the research yourself on the pros and cons of a meat diet versus a vegan one.

As far as the 72 year old vegan (she may be 71, not positive) search Mimi Kirk.

  • Celiac can be genetic. How come vegans NEVER mention genetics. Also your metabolic rate and build are mostly genetic. This idea that everyone will respond to the same diet in exactly the same way is naive. The longest living people in the world are Okinawans, Sardinians, and the Adventist. Okinawans and Sardinians eat a very small amount of meat. Very little but they do eat it. Adventist are vegetarian for sure. Sardinians eat a bunch of a pecorino sardo and drink Cannonau.

  • @courtneylustic01 "then the healthiest people wouldn't be vegans" - citation needed.

"There's a 72 year old vegan who hasn't shown signs of aging past 40 years old." - citation needed.

"I've heard a lot of bs" - read statements from above.

  • @JDO9700 No I don't. Because they don't. Every fruit contains protein, so that would contradict your previous statement about craving sugar. You might have had heavy metal poisoning, but it wasn't from a vegetarian diet. I'm a vegetarian, and I'm fine. You can't assumptions from one bad experience. That's like someone saying a dog bit them, so all dogs bite.

  • @courtneylustic01 No doubt about it, all vegans are somewhat deficient in zinc at tissue level. Wonder why they completely shy off any protein? Because they have not got sufficient enzymes to digest protein as zinc is a co-factor. The only reason I know this is because I went through exactly the same thing when I had copper toxicity from a vegetarian diet.

  • @JDO9700 Sorry, that's called passion. And if that were true, then the healthiest people wouldn't be vegans. There's a 72 year old vegan who hasn't shown signs of aging past 40 years old. Craving sugar (and eating fruit to satisfy it) doesn't signify anything except you know how to healthfully handle a sugar craving. A+ for originality though. I've heard a lot of bs to get people to stray away from a healthy, compassionate vegan diet, but none like yours.
