Surprise - I also have a guitar. (never had any lessons though..)
Don't worry, I'll stick to piano as my main instrument, this is just easier to drag along (although if you haven't played in a while - read : months - your fingers hurt like hell).

Please ignore the outfit (trouble with the heating). The humming part is sort of what the harmonica in the song does.. I'd better leave that out next time.

So what strum pattern do you use since "kindawhatitsoundslike" sounds pretty damn good to me. I have this weird quirk where I can't tell strum patterns from looking. Depth perception or something.

Ahem - I don't really know what a strum pattern is... I just kinda try to copy what the original sounds like.. (did I mention I never had any guitar lessons, and just looked up some chords? I'm pretty sure I'm one of the last people you should ask for help on this one...sorry..)

Just a lil tip: Try this chord progression for the verse instead:

G/C/G/C/Em/C/Em/C.....mmm (G) Desire ( Em instead of Am)

and in the last verse instead of Am ->C, try Am->Bm->C->D.... G Desire
