Very interesting video. I think Dr Senewiratne makes some excellent points. As a social anthropologist I can't help agree that psychiatry is a 'worldview' to which young doctors are converted during their training, and in defense of which senior psychiatrists will brand objectors as mentally unwell - just as Christian fundamentalists will brand Christian objectors as possessed by the devil. What makes psychiatry worse is that it does this in the name of science......
