God's Child by David Byrne & Selena

I'll admit, I've heard the song. Incessantly. But I have no clue as to whom David Byrne is... other than the fact that he was the lead singer of the Talking Heads. I kinda loosely put together as close an image as I could to what I'd seen on the internet, so if his likeness is not as great as that of Selena's, I apologize. However, I DO love this song, and I hope I did it justice to all of you Selena fans out there (I know I am...)

He had a fascination for Brazillian music during the height of Talking Heads suddenly hating the avant garde he created abandoning the band after their biggest tour de jour/ movie release of 'True Stories'. When Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (Keyboards and Bass Players respectively) released The Tom Tom Club record with George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic) and wanted to play their songs during Talking Heads tours, it spelled an end to the band that gave us some of the best dance pop ever!

I completely agree with reaJG72 - working with Byrne was a glimpse of brilliance on the producers part and would have set part of the stage for an American takeover for Selena. I miss her too - tremendously talented individual and a great role model for the kids.
