BTW, what's this whole package you are sitting on while gliding? there's no such thing on hang glider (unless they take a safety shoot)?

@hallobaaaby :S That's would be the harness. It's there so that you can fly comfortably and not dangle as you do when parachuting.

@sarameninha yes it looks like ht eharness but i mean, it's soo thick! also, since i'm talking to a paragliderpilot, how on earth you manage with these too "handle" things for control? if they were ailerons what would they do when you mull them: lift up the aileron?? i know in the modelmaking we can make a plane the does both elevator & ailerons with only ailerons (they call it "ailevon") but still we have a middle position from which we can push or pull, while u only 'pull'? hows pitch control?

@hallobaaaby The harness also holds the emergency chute, so it's a bit bulky. The controls are breaks. By slowing down one side of the wing you turn around that side. You don't have much pitch control in a paraglider. You always keep a little pressure on the breaks for more stabile flight and optimal glide angle.
