  • This is my idea that I've had for a while:

Get a paper towel roll and take off most of the papertowel. Just leave the core and a few yards of paper towel. Roll the paper towel out Tape a few regular AA batteries in the core. Set the end of the paper towels on fire and get back a little. Thaink it'll work?

  • your not going to get regular AA batterys to do anything cool you have to have lipo or

li-ion batterys to get them to blow up, possibly the 3v camera batterys?

  • Im going to soon try this, just running it off a car's battery. Just waiting for an opportune time. It does start charging the battery, but will take longer than I had last time to overcharge it

  • i wouldnt waste your time with the car battery i tryed a 7.2v pack first it got hot but nothing then i tryed a 36v pack the same thing. anyway i got fed up and just used the transformer

  • Im not really sure if it whould pop as soon but this one went the secound i pluged in the transformer. The DC might take longer because your actually rechaging ware im just cyling current back and forth heating up the cell.

Anyway when you do it send me the vid =)

  • I just can't wait to be in one of the new eco-friendly electric cars when the battery system goes rogue. At least it will be a quick death.

Morons with their progressive ideals that make no sense when you look at the big picture.

What's it cost to replace a dead electric car battery system? What do we do with old batteries?

Where does the charging voltage come from?

What will be the cost to make the number of new hydroelectric plants required to supply enough current to charge everyone's cars?

  • @mastermechanic5

the explosion is caused by the instability of lithium, regular batteries are zinc and copper.

  • What makes them explode is they release hydrogen when pierced and hydrogen is very flammable just look up the Hindenburg lol.

Nothing in them is bad for the Ozone.

  • i want to try that with a 25.000 volt HID ballast ;P

  • please be careful out there, certain lithium chemistry cells when "burned" like this release very toxic gases. Some cell explosions have been known to cause personal injury. Fragments from cylindrical cells can imbed themselves into exposed skin and deposit hydrofluoric acid right into your blood stream.

  • um... is ur camera on zoom cos if it wasn't there is the potential for camera to be pwned by explosion... sadly explosion sucked.

Guys? ur doing it all wrong! simply pierce the metal thing with the lithium in it and BANG - in 1-2 secs it heats to 200-300 degrees plus. battery shizam.

  • That was good for the ozone lol
