The Moon Festival

The purpose of my 3D animation is to introduce the Moon Festival in China. I use a funny, legendary story to show this traditional food and cultural celebration, while bringing up an issue that is of great concern to modern people: weight control.
The Moon Festival is a celebration for people who love to admire the full moon on this particular night, while the moon is at its fullest, brightest and largest to the eyes. Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese. The whole family gathers together, feasting on good wine, fruits, nuts and a specially prepared desert called "moon cakes". Chinese lanterns are widely decorated for this festival.
