"Never" TAC Drink Drive TV ad

The structure of thisdrink drive commercial broke the mould. It begins like a cliched new car commercial only to see the car slam into the back of a truck. Then the story unfolds of a Dad whose daughter was killed in the car, driven by her partner after a birthday celebration.

Every crash affects many people. This weeping father says Ill never forget having to choose a coffin for my beautiful baby.

Your taxes paid for an ad agency to completely FUCK a car.....brilliant!! Why not use the money to fill fuckin' potholes??

This guy didn't look drunk when this accident happened. He looked distracted by his girlfriend riding with him. Either way, he wasn't paying any attention to the truck in front of him. Tragic.

I love the structure of this ad how starts off in a really happy note with the man and women in the car with the happy music playing. the goes silent when they crash. and then moves into a really heartwrenching/depressing mood with the woman's dad breaking down at the end.

For those of you who thought this was a Hyundai Commercial, at almost the exact moment they crashed, you can see through the windscreen and see the woman lift her arms for protection. Just sayin'. :P

if you watch carefully at the start, you can see the girl waving her arms about erratically as if trying to warn her boyfriend of what's in front of them.
