The UI Lecture Committee invited Karl Rove to speak on campus March 9, 2008.
He was paid $40,000 for his visit which was heavily protested by anti-war activists.

It didn't help anything to have those people shouting. I would rather listen to that asshole incriminate himself and show himself to be the scum he is. Instead of this speech, I would rather see him waterboarded.

i love it that there are always many people who have never been in the military that are happy that someone else's son or daughter was in the military. i truly think military service should be compulsory like Israel in the US.

@cjfeanor I'm an Iowan. I gotta say we are raised to be naive, but no purposely. Rove doesn't belong in jail, he belongs on a firing post for Treason. Stupidity might allow folks like him Cheney, Bush, Rice and the lot... to get away with the crap they have pulled for a short while... it's now been decades of Asymmetrical warfare and they haven't learned? I don't buy that bullshit. This guy has called our Troops animals and condems poor kids to die by unlawful use of our military. Evil Regime!
