Was the jester in another fantasy movie? He had a limp in it? and there were other small people with him and they were colour coded, anyone know which film that was? thanks

I have a copy on VHS from an HD movie channel in 2005. I also bought 2 DVD's from a bootleg sight...they are VERY poor quality. Its a rare one indeed.

How could you produce something like this, and then not make it available? I just don't get it. I saw it once on PBS, and it was brilliant. been trying to track down a copy ever since.

FOOL'S FIRE is available at the Museum of Television and Radio in New York City. You can only watch it there, though. Don't miss it! It may also be available in California, as well.

I've been looking for a clear copy for 17 years
I asked around (I knew the title and American playhouse) and wasn't looking for a pirate copy
but, as far as I could tell, it was (is) simply not available

Julie Taymor or PBS need to make this available. PBS being the "owner" of American Playhouse and Julie Taymor being the creator of "Fool's Fire". This was one of my favorite PBS experiences of all time. I miss American Playhouse, and I also really wish that I could find this film on DVD but if Ms Taymor or PBS do not do something about it, it will never come out except as poor bootlegs. Even this video "clip" on YouTube is of POOR QUALITY for even a VHS tape. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Julie Taymor has a very particular vision that truly draws you in. I want to turn away, but can't... Spellbinding, masterful.
