At the very least, that is definitely interference major-game misconduct. And was Byers called up just to start stuff like this?

@CAhockeydude amen regardless of who your favorite team is hits like these do not! belong in the game of Hockey.

@sharkman455 ok normally i dont hate on sharks fan, but i will point out that u r an idiot, cheapshotting someone does not inspire your teammates, it makes them hate him because he is taking the penalty. clean hits on the other hand do inspire ur teammates, but of course dane byres doesnt know how to do a clean hit

@mercenaryman1190 agreed, a perfect example of a cheapshotter, todd bertuzzi

Sharkman, do yourself a favor, unzip the back of your skull so you can let some of the sand run out.

@sharkman455 There's a difference between a physical player, and a cheap player. This kind of hit is terrible to say the least, targeting another players neck and head can result in concussions and even paralysis. I don't care how tough you are, paralysis can destroy any players careers. I like to have a good, hard nosed fighter on the team, but not a cheapshotter. There is no room in the league for them.

@sharkman455 Your a fucking idiot.

Dirty fuckin hit.. dumb ass should respect other players ....
-
leave that fucking bum in the AHL

@mercenaryman1190 Are you kidding me? Being a jackets fan, i think that having a scrappy player like Byers is a good thing. With hits like that, he inspires his team to play harder. Besides, hockey is a violent game, and people need to learn to deal with that.
Being a Blue Jackets fan, I am disgusted by Byers hit. We are obviously not a good team this year, but the last thing that we need is a rat on the team like a Matt Cooke. Hockey does not need players like him. Fighters are perfectly fine, but guys that go for hits like that intentionally, are not.
