  • He will be missed! The Fabulous Knobs were a really big part of my life in the late seventies and early eighties! I worked a Diamond Jim's in Charlotte and went to work on my nights off when The Fabulous Knobs were playing! I still keep my treasured Fabulous Knobs buttom in my jewelry box today, and my friend Shelia and I still talk of the good times and how we loved them!

  • While this is a tribute, I don't think it really captures the real essence of David Enloe. He was an incredible guitar player, incredible. Moreover, he was a huge promoter of other musicians that he regarded as "real." He was extremely smart - conversant in many topics - southern literature especially (Larry Brown, in particular). He taught me so much about listening to the music; I mean really listening. I wasn't able to make it better for D, but I loved him greatly.

  • Fabulous Knobs were, and always will be, an intergral part of my college experience at North Carolina State. I still don't understand why they never were recognised for thier talents and signed by a major record company. Debra, Jack, Terry, and (for a short time, Keith) - I thank you for the great memories, and wish you the best.

David, sweet boy, I hope you are finally at peace.

  • Thanks for putting this together. David was a very talented and important part of the "Comboland" phenom. The Fabulous Knobs were so unfairly overlooked by the rest of the world. I was fortunate enough to be in Raleigh at the time and probably saw the Knobs at least 30 or 40 times live, maybe more. Thank you, Fabulous Knobs, for some great music and some great memories! I think I'll go drop some pink and black on the turntable now.

  • Awesome....

  • Thank you so much for doing this. Like them, it's FABULOUS.
