I HAVE read Marx, and he is full of shit. You don't have the right to "reach your potential" AT THE EXPENSE of someone else trying to reach THEIRS.

No matter what his intentions, Marx' basic moral premise (From each according to his ability, to each according to his need) is an IMMORAL premise based on the FACT that it's BASED ON theft.

communism, all you have to do is read it and understand that Marx was all about the importance of the individual reaching his potential, and doing what he loves. He was all about getting rid of the division between working and leisure and making your work what you love. What you are best at and passionate about is what your work should be. We waste our lives working in jobs that we despise, all to increase capital for those at the top. And it destroys our individuality.

capitalism CAN supply thousands of jobs! millions! but the problem is, those that are disadvantaged because of unfortunate circumstance, or economic class are forced to take up those terrible jobs. They would flourish better under a system that valued their individuality as human beings, than their de-individualization which happens when they work in terrible, mechanical jobs.
