Hello i have just watched your Video and i think it is great is has been the best one i have seen so far but i was wondering if i could ask you a question ??
see when you create the 4th layer and when you do you are meant to select
"use previous layer to create clipping mask"
My Photo shop Doesn't have that option is there something i am doin wrong?
any help would be great... Dee

@pixelsmiles can you tell me how you put that digital background in photoshop. I understand everything else except that, everytime I try to add a background to photoshop it doesn't work

amazing.always do play the channels to get accord background but this technique look very simple
Im having some issues... The picture that I am using doesnt have one color background. The walls have patterns on them and Im sitting on a chair. When I follow your tutorial it highlights more then it should and I end up cutting my arm or leg, which we dont want. What should I do?

Cluttered backgrounds don't usually work well for detailed extractions. There are ways to do it if there is good contrast between the foreground and background. You can blend multiple alpha channels. This is much more complicated than the technique in this video and really can't summed up in a short response here.
The best solution is tho shoot the photo with a solid colored background if you are wanting to extract it. The results will be much better with less work.
