There are clues that this was the beginning of the end. The vegetarian diet was because he was fighting cancer. The black shirt, and coat was what he wore on Tops his last TV appearance. The reference to his anger was about his feud with Lawler. This was either taped in December 1983 or January 1984.

This is great. This reminds me alot of Uncle Floyd.
People were probably waiting for some of his standup but were probably perplexed as to why he was doing a children's like show.
