Video recorded in 1994 at the Paddie Bell Festival Show at Edinburgh's Fringe. Bill Smith with bassist Moray McLeod.
Bill comments---"Adapted from a love song with an unusual setting by Sidney Carter who wrote "Lord of the Dance". Sung by Nadia Cattouse during the sixties it deserved a much wider audience than it got. The story of that first young love that returns to haunt us in later life drifting into the present at unexpected moments......"

And many's the woman would like to be me
But sometimes I lie in my bed and I listen.....,
To the sounds of the wind,
And the sounds of the sea....,
I remember that sailor, who whispered to me...
