  • Beautiful! Peace be with you and God bless you always.

  • thanks :-)

  • Just a question: gaano katagal ba ang novitiate in the Dominican Order? I heard 13 months daw? (at leats dito sa Germany yun yung info na nakuha ko).

  • the novitiate is 13 to 14 months. it could be extended however for another six months at the discretion of the formators.

  • @friarmel Hello Friar Mel. May I ask if it is possible to take a college degree while in the formation as a Dominican? Let's say you want to be a doctor at the same time you want to be a friar. Is that possible? Thank you and may God continue to bless the Order of Preachers!

  • @TheExtraordinaryMind Thank you very much Friar Mel! Thanks for the information! Godbless and more powers to the Friars Preachers!

  • hello TheExtraordinaryMind. this is friar mel, one of those who took the vows in this video. to be a dominican priest, it takes about eleven (for college graduates) to thirteen years (for high school graduates) of study before ordination. if you are interested in the order, we welcome visitors here in sto. domingo, quezon city. we also have a convent in legazpi city, albay, closer to catanduanes. :-)

  • May I ask po, how many years does it take to be a Dominican priest? Salamat po. Godbless!

  • update on the friars: of the ten who made simple profession, four have since left the order: Ariel Salcedo, Albert Enaje, Johnrey Carillo and Max Lin. Three have made their solemn profession: Fernand Tanguay, OP, Rommel Olivar, OP, and Carlo Rey Canto, OP. Three are set to make their solemn profession soon: Stephen La, Ja, OP, Christopher Garinganao, OP and Kenneth Rayco, OP. Please include them in your prayers.
