I was working in manston kent and came across blackthunder in a scrap yard after 2 weeks of talks i bought it and took it to manchester we used it a few times but was hard to keep in a straight line my mate has it now and has it just sittin in a barn never used it to date
was given to the land rover dealer who donanted the range rovers it was based on. the dealer then moved workshops and no longer had space for it and I didnt either so unfortunatly it went for scrap. although I do still have all of the CAD designs for it so might build another one one day :0)
Many of the vehicles were scrapped after beaulieu as originally the terms of the contract with to producers was the vehicles had to be destroyed on completion of the show. we managed to keep octopush after much begging and grovelling. but it was fairly badly damage after the end of filming. rear engine held together with glue and duck tape and 2 bent axles which were custom for this vehicle so needed alot of work to fix and with the team moving onto to different things in different countrys it
Hey my names Martyn. I was part of the Auqaholics team that won FMC
I remember the cars being at beaulieu. Had a great day thrashing them around the arena during the open day. We still had Octopush up until a year or so ago an awsome machine as were the other. especially loved getting to drive the marabunta
somebody just upload the episodes of ull Metal Challenge or bring out some photos from the vehicles, locations, cast, teams, and others.............................well I'm getting tired and really sleepy, searching the missing data.......but I found it
I built the southern crusher, and it was at Beaulieu and the people their made arrangments for me to get it back after the exibit closed but when the transporter showed up to pick it up they said it was stolen out of their back lot. Of coarse I'm half way round the world so I had to take their word for it, still cost me $600 for the transporter even though they didnt pick it up. there is some video of it here somewhere.
Does any1 out there have any of the Full Metal Challenge DVD's that they could rip the music from? & post them on youtube or send 2 my E-Mail address. PLEASE.
It pretty funny that the paint is still all over Richborough Power Station though whitewashed, sadly the 10 pin set (turbine room) has lost its entire left side now though it can be seen in Son Of Rambow 'grey-washed' lol
Aquaholics - Octopush, Snowdiggers - Steel Survivor, Law Dawgs - Impact Weapon, Washburns - Agrivator, Desert Pumas - Marabunta, Kiwi Thunder - Black Thunder, Flaming Aussies - Deflector, cant remember the others, did have some pics at one point but lost them. Most of them were in a rotting rusted mess and the video that was playing on the monitors above didn't do much to revive the FMC brand. Apparently after Beaulieu they were stored in sum random location for a bit, then inevitably destroyed

@nippyzap Hey, why would you get rid of it? I would at least sell it on a national-known car auction
