The heads are actually really good but the tuning of the toms are ruining it... Permormance 2 is really the perfect rock head (like Evans G2)

The studio- x sound like they provide the best balance between depth and tone. The performance 2's are super focused and even more dead than hydraulics.

The only Aquarian head I will buy is the Superkick series. I have a Superkick III on my Yamaha Maple Custom Absolutes and a Superkick 1 on my Yamaha Birch Custom Absolutes. I've tried the Remo Powerstroke and Evans EMAD and they don't hold a candle to the Aquarian. Toms and snare? That's a different story. Remo all the way baby.
