Project Lead the Way - SMET 3

This is an engineering project that that my PLTW class was assigned, we each had to build a machine that would transfer the energy of the previous group's to the next group using all six simple machines.

Also, this is an individual footage of the third machine in the series.

This is stupid because the rules state it has to be 100% resetable no ad-ons. You cut the string meaning you have to ad-on new string to replace the broken "cut" string. obviously a fail experiment.

My class is forcing us to get the screw to move and turn on and off. We are using an archimedes screw, but how do we get it to turn on and off?
