  • @jix177 Experienced dragline operators can judge just how close they are to objects and how to manuever the machine around in tight areas, so backing a dragline into a sidewall practically never happens.

    Although the walking gear will rotate forward, the dragline can never walk forward because it would tip forward.

  • @PAmining Any/all electric draglines that I have operated will rotate the walking machinery in both directions, But it is true that the machines cannot walk forward because the position of the walking cams are positioned to the rear of the centerpin so the machine picks up the back end of the tub and drags the front end.
