A 1940 jazz standard with music by Duke Ellington and lyrics by Bob Russell.
Un temazo de Duke Ellington, compuesto en 1940, con letra de Bob Russell.
Lyrics/letra:
Missed the Saturday dance
Heard they crowded the floor
Couldnt bear it without you
Dont get around much anymore
Thought Id visit the club
Got as far as the door
Theyd have asked me about you
Dont get around much anymore
Darling, I guess my minds more at ease
But nevertheless, why stir up memories
Been invited on dates
Might have gone but what for
Awfully different without you
Dont get around much anymore

Really nice singing. Smooth sweet voice and I like the sort of wind instrument sound you improvised into your rountine which showed you had a considerable vocal range to play with. Good band too! Thanks for posting this!

In my element indeed, Howard (you might even call it my 'natural habitat')! :)
Thank you for being so generous with the stars and comments!

You are in your element here, Conchita!
You don't call yourselves "Softly JAZZ Quartet" without reason, eh? As we say at Midomi: "5 stars"
