On March 10th, 2009, almost 50 MIddlebury College students in Middlebury, VT "froze" in Ross Dining Hall to launch a campaign, asking the administration to green the college's endowment. Watch as the students confound their peers by holding coal briquettes during the busy lunch hour. The freeze took place on the 49th day of the Power Past Coal (www.powerpastcoal.org) project, which unites diverse groups across the country to call for an end to the destructive practices of coal mining and power generation from coal.

  • You kids are great! This video has definitely inspired some of us at Loyola University Chicago. Keep us posted on the impact that this has on your campus. Cheers!

  • It would have been great if you could have turned it into something like the T-Mobile Dancing AD video where people stick out more from the crowd for the video (production side idea). Good work, awesome idea guys!
