Okay, some people think that HIM looks somehow gay (and they are not really wrong) but that's part of the character. You see, the creators of the PPG thought that HIM must like the devil (seriously the name says everything... i mean... its HIM) so they made him like the opposite of what the church is. He is kinda gay, he is evil, he even have the claws (no room to explain but its part of a believe of the devil) so that metaphore is really complex and interesting for a kids show
