Christians, why do you celebrate Easter?

Why do Christians use the trappings of pagan festivals to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus when the Bible commands believers to avoid such things? Oh, by the way, HAPPY EASTER!

i grow up with a bit of a chirstian family as an agnostic satanist with high value on old paganism. I am so never going to tell my parents that christmas and easter were hijacked from paganism so they will continue to celebrate it not knowing they are being pagans deep within :P

cuz if I do and prove it, they will stop celebrating it (yes, my parents are the type that say 'christ has risen' IN GREEK on easter)

Happy Easter? It(s supposed to be a happy time? Not when I was a youngster, you never wished anyone a 'Happy' Easter. A Good Easter yes, as in I hope you find it a good time to reflect on the more serious side of life, but happy, never. Still it's your religion now, not mine so what do I care?

@Reip187 and the biggest reason why most people making these videos are FORMER Christians is quite simple. They studied Christianity. Something most believers have never done.

Let me just parlay some common sense to you and anyone else that wants to ask a similar question. Most of the people that make these videos, and many that watch them either were Christians, or are U.S. citizens. None of us are Muslims. Most of us know little about Islam. Common sense key to not looking like a fool: Do not argue about things you know nothing about.
