Remembering Indira Gandhi

The first women President of the country, Pratibha Patil led the nation to pay homage to the only woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 23 death anniversary today. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief of ruling Congress party Sonia Gandhi, were among the first to pay homage at Shakti Sthal, a memorial of Gandhi on the banks of River Yamuna in New Delhi. They also offered floral tributes to the former Prime Minister at the assassination site.
