These people's misery and terrible inflation rate is our fault, we were negligent in creating a self-governing state, and we have to fix it. We should also recognise de jure the Republic of Somaliland (formerly British Somaliland) as an independent country, separate from the ungoverned and war-torn Somalia. Both these responsibilities can be laid an no other door that that of the UK. The African Union isn't going to help, and neither are neighbouring countries. Please do what's right.

Hello Hilary. I realise the following comments don't fall exclusively under your mandate, but I feel you are a strong voice to carry them. I am white British and aware of our colonial legacy in Africa. It is my opinion that we should have our forces in Zimbabwe evicting the ZanuPF, (not Iraq and Afghanistan where we just get blown up like the Americans) restoring good governance and a stable economy to a province that's suffered 27 years of mis-management and corruption.
