Ernesto Tomasini as Sebastian Venable, the projectionist of a small cinema in Sicily (Cinema Paradiso), who in his projection room re-enacts sequences from his favourite movies as well as some behind the scenes characters (like in this case) to draw a history of the representation of gay people in American cinema. This Oscar Cerimony (apart from the clunky production values - but then that was the whole point as the play took place in Sebastian's little room) is not too dissimilar than the real thing!
"The Veiled Screen: A Secret History of Hollywood!", with and by Ernesto Tomasini, directed by Amit Lahav, sets and costumes by Simon Kenny, music by Londonarrangements.com. Drill Hall, London 2006
