In the old days when canal boats were pulled by horse, they would release the horse and pay someone to take it to the other end of the tunnel on foot, the canal boat owner/family would 'leg' the boat along the tunnel with feet against the ceiling and walls. Sometimes they didn't even get someone to walk the horse, the horses got so used to the route they would walk there by themself and wait at the other side!

Hiya, I live near the museum and visit once every few years, love the singing caverns! At the clearing at 1:09 we had rocks coming down from local yobs, the guy next to me had his suede jacket pierced by a rock, it was after them troubles people had to wear the hats because it would of been fatal eventually.
At 1:16 in the vid the tunnel on the left is wear a ladies body was found in the 60's, murdered.
2:19 you'll see the fossils on the walls, the ones at the waterline are removed.
