Dr. Heather Ashton on Benzodiazepines - Overview

I'll be honest, I read the manual, but not all of us can cross over to Valium or eat perfectly, it's not all rainbows coming off a Benzo, I came off Klonopin and that was a hard time, but honestly some of the things she says or writes... I don't agree with. You can use a lot of her advice, as far as tapering... that's something you have to do and judge for yourself. Everyone has their own system of tapering or titrating. I went by some things the Ashton Manual said, but not all.

i agree! I just use valium now like 3 times a week when i need it thats the key. I used be on xanax and valium before. If you use benzos eveyday your receptors just burn out! but thay do have good use when you really need them.

I went to jail after taking 40ml valium for 7years, it was the worst thing thats ever happend to me. if i was serving any longer(served1)and didnt have them smuggled in for the 1st 3 months, i think i would of had to do somthing drastic to.Your comment struck a loud courd.The mental stress i went under is still around me now. In fact im worse. The prisons in england are a joke, I heard that the NHS were taking over in there.
