  • I'm sorry ,I take african dance and this troupe is missing soul and they look disjointed.

  • Obviously there is still some animosity among the drum and dance community. It should be a celebration of a beautiful culture, (That of West Africa!) Who is to say who can or can not honor that culture, share it, learn about it, or perform traditional drum ensembles or dances? All of my friends from Guinea, Mali, Senegal in the U.S. are happy to share their culture and music with any willing students who have good intentions and a sincere desire to learn the music and dance.

  • Very nice Folks!!!!!!!

  • impressive lead djembe soloist

  • just ridic

  • didn't like this at all, no soul at all

  • wow i am learning yankandi now :D

  • @pidza21 Skin color does not have anything to do with it and there is nothing wrong with learning. It just so happens that African people have darker pigmented skin and this attribute is closely related to creativity. THIS IS African dance the dance of the Afrikan people and that should always be credited

  • The drummers are great.... dancers look like they are marking time... (17+ years experience and counting....) Ijs.

  • @pidza21 i here u but how many ppl from Africa have u heard who cnt play?

  • belle danse les filles! La danseuse qui est à gauche au début, tu déchires !!!!

  • Don't forget that African Americans created the space for the Africans to inhabit. I don't care who learns the dances and rhythms. I do care that the struggle of African Americans who insisted upon the validity of African dance seems to have been ignored and or minimized.
