it is in Braj Bhasha or very similar to present day 'Hindi' ( also called 'Khadi Boli')

    first two lines above mean

I have my mind set on you

I have no peace or rest without your presence

your dark fetures and countanance have made their home in my mind

I have forgotten sleep and it ( your face) has stolen my peace of mind and rest

this is the effect the beauty of Krishna has on the minds of his admirers!

  • this is so captivating, such beauty, i have gone through all the Raag Charukeshi videos and this is the best. Lagela Mora Mann Pandit Ji ki awaaz se. Thank you very much for uploading.

  • Someone can post the phonetic (romanised) words? Thanks

  • This is a gorgeous, heartfelt, and technically brilliant rendition of Charukeshi. I have no words for the depths of the Sangeet Martand's profound genius.

  • beauuutiful....

  • @prangachary - no.. i m nt agree.. pt. jasraj make dis raag soo beautiful...

  • @prangachary i completely agree with u....well it shows that he is just singing for d sake of it not from his heart!

  • it is a beautiful raga.......but jasraj doesnt do justice to it..........he makes it so boring!

If you hunt around you can find a cassette which probably has been conerted to CD by now by EMI, and the track was originally issued as a 78 RPM record in the fifties or 40s! I do have the cassette which i have backed up but i am not very familiar with how to upload music onto You Tube!
