I remember riding in a contest here, the area where we rode during our run was horrible for rolling tricks. I sucked soooo bad, I think I pulled 1-2 of my tricks.
All in all, I still had a great time. $50 well spent!!!
i remember this contest, i had to ride rick allisons bike after breaking mine 5-10 minutes before my run...16-17 expert class..25 years later, still do everything from back then...G.munday

I feel bad about saying the above. I watched this again, and it's a pretty smoking run. He's fast, very smooth, and there are some deceptively tricky parts. I still think Dennis edged him, but it was a very good run.
This is very painful to admit, even 20 years later, because I worshiped RL back in the day: he was over-rated. Don't get me wrong; he was a great ambassador for the sport, and a true pioneer, but when you objectively compare his run with Dennis' in this contest...my god, Dennis ate him for lunch. I can see how it's debatable whether Martin was the best that day [I think Dennis killed, but RL's run was honestly not that hard.
