My family owned some of the mineral rights, the Beavers were Quapaw Indians and we got rich from it so as a nephew of the owner I feel as if we Quapaws sold our souls in some way for this mining while the government ripped the land from us.......................

Hi, My name is John Dial and I'm from Picher, Oklahoma. Picher was my home and now when I want to go home I can't because it's not there anymore...When my friends and I were growing up we played on the chat piles ( the mountains of gravel left from the mines ) we swam and fished in the water. No one told us it wasn't safe and to us it was just having fun like and kids in any town in the USA. We all know too well now how bad it was and still is, but we will always love and miss our little town.

I tried to order this DVD at the site and I don't think the charges ever appeared on my credit card? but I never received the DVD either?

Alright, so I'm almost 1500 miles away from Picher, OK and I'm still very interested in watching Tar Creek. I have no vested in the land, but the topic seems very important to me as an American. Why is this documentary not posted on a site where i can download the torrent for free?? It almost seems that the videographer/ author feels like it's more important to get paid than to expose the American indecency known as Picher, OK, and it becoming a ghost town.

Sad not everyone can watch this... By making the film hard to access you're not helping the cause :-(
Where can I watch/ download this movie online? I'm not going to buy a DVD but I am interested in the topic/issue. Thanks.

There were close to 800 mining companies that operated at Tar Creek. Some of the big ones were ASARCO, Blue Tee, and Eagle Picher.
