I love how NOBODY notices the blood-spattered floor, or the chick brandishing a sword and getting flung across the floor, or the large creature awkwardly hiding in plain sight under a banner and kidnapping teachers.

Was still and excellent anime though. Some of the best animation I have ever seen! =)

imagine if the sword had been real..and she proceeded to kill the creature in public..blood spewing everywhere..everyone to see. She was lucky it was a fake.

@Imnotlisteninglalala I agree the animation is really good, but it's not the best to me. it introduces some very cool effects with computer animated sequences, but nothing can top some of the older hand drawn/traditionally animated classics. I mean they couldn't achieve fine details like with the animation in Blood: The Last Vampire, but the smoothness and fluidity just isn't there. I'd say the older stuff is still better

@Inujake7 it's not a prequel. it's supposed to take place AFTER this movie... it even makes reference to this movie, albeit the reference is misconstrued. in Blood+ they make out that during this period Saya loses it and kills people while siding with chiropterans... watch it, you'll see.

@waiiatwi It wasn't an ova or a pilot. It was a movie released theatrically back in 2000. They later decided to make a series in '05.
