also banana skins leave great markings on the pots and a good sprinkle of salt works magic too if you would like some pink or red blushes! hope that helps! this is my fave kind of firing and works well in a hole in the ground too if you dont have anyhting else to fire in :o)
would depend on how much fuel (wood and combustable materials) you use...also depends if you put a 'lid' on it ie sheet or corrigated iron... temps could get up to 800oc give or take 100oc ;o) the fun thing is to experiment and try different things...

seems quite interesting, but I realy would like to know, the temperature that you reach in this fire and if you use some sort of glaze there?
