The First Time Home Buyer's Federal tax Credit of $8000 does not have to be repaid - but it does have an expiration date and whether buyers realize it or not November 30, 2009 is screaming at us like a train at full bore through a tunnel. Purchases often take up to 60 days depending on circumstances so if you're not scheduled to close on your new home purchase by September 1, 2009 you may be missing out on a fantastic chance to get $8000 tax free that does not have to be repaid!
