The one on the left is a traditional tank style toilet, probably one of the building's original toilets. The one on the right is a newer flushometer model from American Standard.

@chilledxsocks Both worked perfectly fine, so I imagine one was put in while the other was still operational. The question remains, why put another toilet immediately facing another toilet?
