We start on Nov 1. That way the lights are up outside on the chilly late Nov days. While others are struggling outside in the cold, we just flip the switch and watch them while sipping cocoa. I like to sort ornaments in-between Trick 'o Treaters. While others are parting to doom and gloom music I have festive carols playing low in my kitchen. =~D Everything comes down in Feb. It's a slow transition, a little here, a little there.

Really, it's up to you. when you decorate is your business.
