A 1977-1980 Strathclyde PTE (Trans-Clyde) promotional video covering mainly the modernisation of the Glasgow Underground, & the re-opening of the Argyle Line through Glasgow.
its mad to think we just dont take time to think about what we have or where it came from i love glasgow & would be lost without the place i call home ahh the banter
I have found a site with previews of energism, none of the songs sound like that particular piece although you are correct pretty much every other song from that album is on this.
I would assume they would stick with the same library provider, being Bruton, and since it was made in 1980 then that helps.
I posted a link on your profile of a blog that has pretty much all of the early Bruton catalogue up, only problem is it's all rapidshare downloads. Dynamism does not contain the song either.
The majority of the music from each of the 3 parts of this video come from the album 'Energism' by Francis Monkman. It was a library album sold to broadcasting companies for "off the shelf theme tunes". I'm struggling to obtain a copy to see if the track you mention is on there but you're right....it's proper good
The music at 0:55 is epic, I'd love to find it. Somehow I don't think I'll ever source a piece of library music for an 80's promotional video of Glasgow underground though haha.
Too right, and I wish we got the trams back, I think that would be a great boost to the city, people would just be buzzing about it cus I think we all love the trams and know about them. Would cost the earth right enough.
