This machine is controlled by EMC2 with full 5-axis motion. It is a gantry configuration for shaping foam and other materials for making molds for composite. It was sponsored by BWC and Oriental Motor. This equipment is part of the Advanced Composite Research, Engineering and Science research group (ACRES) at the University of California - Davis.
