It's crazy, I only ordered my parts yesterday, and they arrived today, now that's fast! Anyway, I can now start building it, here I make the power supply. I only just got up when I started making this video, so I'm little out of it to begin with.
Originally it the tow 2n3055 transistors were only going to power the relay system and the amplifier, but now I'm going to use a couple of IC amplifer chips and they take a lot of current, so I will have to mount the two transistors on a heatsink, they will be powering the two amplifier chips, and I'll ad a third regulator in for the relays.
All the components I chose myself and it's my own design. The circuit design I have for an amplifier is not very powerful, only about 2 watts per channel, but I've got two LM383 amplifier chips ordered witch will be much more powerful and simpler to wire up, about 8 watts each so it will give out about 16 watts, although it doesn't sound like much, it's more than enough for a small room like mine. To some people It's surprising how loud just 1 watt can be!
Really good!!! That power supply looks like it will give enough power for the amp. that's always important.
I'm suprised that the transistors don't need a heatsync... But the power transistors in the amp will need one?
I'm looking forward to see the next episode!

did all that stuff come in a kit? It seems nice! any idea on how many watts per channel that thing is going to put out?
