Guy Fawkes Night in the UK is a time for bonfires and fireworks. Here's some "death mix" to shed light on things.

Check out Destin's bonfire film at http://youtu.be/w-s3NTuw-To - it's worth a look.

I think the fact that they cut his dead body in to quarters suggests that the authorities of the time DID feel that his crimes were rather serious!

I'm not British nor do I know alot about Guy Fawkes day but it seems to me it wasn't an act of terrorism (i.e. they weren't deliberately trying to instill fear or terror in anyone). I think it was a failed attempt at regicide, since the King and most of his relatives would be there as well as the privy council they would just have to kidnap the young Princess Elizabeth and install her on the throne as a Catholic Queen once all is done and use her to their advantage... Correct me if I'm wrong...

Terrorism is not when people from other countries attack people or in this case a Parliamentary. It is when anyone does anything to incite terror in people.
