Awesome! I never knew how to cut out an image using this method.
No idea! I just used my pen tool!
Here's a quick question. Is it better to use the extract tool for certain things? Or is it all around good? Again, good vid!

@skoobbarnes1 erm,i prefer use layer mask,it more flexible and easy

if i am extracting an image from its background and i want to bring the extracted photoshop image into illustrator, what format do i have to save the photoshop extracted image as?
And also i want the photoshop extracted image to have a translucent background but the background is white when i bring it into illustrator....... what am i doing wrong????? HELPPPPPP!

where abouts is the layer pallet it was there ealier today but then when i shut my comp down n came back on it was gone

Look at the top of the Photoshop interface click Window > Layers
