  • What type of axle's are you using for the zc tranmission? I just swaped a Dohc Zc into my 90 dx hatch.

  • @brownmokey Integra LS axles. You can use most years, just newer ones have an abs ring on them. As I remembered I used 92 Integra LS. You do need to know if you have the intermediet shaft, or not, for the drivers side.

I am reasonably shure the DX & SI hubs are the same spline, & axle size, only the HF is different, If I am wrong, you will need to swap your fronts to Si. I had swapped mine to SI, when i did the swap for the larger brakes.

  • @ibasspro I replaced the front axles for my civic with the 90 si axles and while I was driving, It seemed to have fallen out of the transmission. But when I jacked up the car. The shaft was still in the transmission. But it wont move when I put it in gear. I can hear grinding. I've taken them out at leas six times already and it still wont move. I've even tried to put back the originals and the also dont even move. Did I mess up the transmission? Thanks for your help.

  • @brownmokey You are using the ZC tranny? As I remember with the ZC you HAVE to use Integra axles, not civic Si. I think the splines on the tranny side are longer. When you slide them into the tranny it should take a little 'oomph' to get them to lock in. You can check by pulling back out on it & the retailing clip should hold it in, if it slides right back out, it is not in far enough. I have had to push fairly hard to get them in before...almost to the point where I thought something was wrong.

  • So I am mistaken, I thought they did have 3 cyl like the yugo (yougo however you spell it). I did look under the hood, & it did have a sizeable turbo. I never really paid attention to those cars, I guess you do, so good for you. Perhaps you would like to post a video of what yours does at the track? I have shown what my beat down old CRX can do with my small budget. I was really most proud that my wife was willing to go drag racing with me, & now she wants to go again & drive herself.

  • yupp thats what 100 k get you

  • well its a nice movie but i think your car its almost death, don´t pull enough.

i have a civic dohc zc almost stock

i think it pulls more than that

    but any way nice try

  • I finally figured it out. As it turns out im using a 89 si tranny. And the reason the axles wouldn't fit is because the tip of the splines got messed up when I didnt install them all the way in. I had the file them a bit. But now they go right in. Ill post a vid up once I get some dvds for my camera. Thanks For all your help man.
